Mobile phone I ordered arrived in a European version

I ordered a Samsung phone online. When it came it had an instruction leaflet in Romanian. The company said what I had received was the same phone I had ordered, but in a European version. Are there any significant disadvantages in this?

Does a UK sim work to make calls and connect to the Internet? Have you got a UK charger for it? Are you able to register the device with Samsung? If yes to all then I doubt you'll have any problems. There should be English instructions available online, Google the device model.

Hi @DahliaGardener - I can't remember exactly what his reasoning was, but my DF ordered a Samsung smart watch online. When it arrived, everything was in Romanian, and he sent it back for a refund. He's super-savvy and a very techie person so there must have been good reason for his returning it.

Which site did you order from?

Thank you, @RedPandaFluff. I have returned the phone. Prefer not to say which site, but it was through uSwitch. @Pepsipepsi, it was not a UK charger.
