Any suggestions for good face painting paint?

My DD loves having her face painted and like to get a good set for her Christmas. We were at a toddlers group last week where the had the ELC set but it was absolutely crap, paint was very dry and hard to get on their little faces.

Any suggestions where I could get some decent face paint? (preferable online)

I am a keen face-painter and Snazaroo or Grimas are the only ones I would recommend.

Pickie · 03/11/2007 19:05

thanks for that, what would you suggest it a good starting set as see that the Snazeroo's are individual packages instead of a little starting kit. Do I need brushes or sponges etc.. Sorry total novice to this!

We have the ELC ones and find they go on much better with brushes rather than sponges, that may help until you get your hands on better ones.

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 03/11/2007 19:22

i have this one

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 03/11/2007 19:23

hey pickie coupl of face painting pics in my profile.

Pickie · 03/11/2007 19:30

thats the one I bought (rainbow ones), lovely girls LVC.

Hope I can remotely do sometihng like that as my attention to detail is not great so DH is likely to be the facepainter

the rainbow kit has a little instruction book with it, very easy to follow.

Pickie · 03/11/2007 19:33

does it have a example sheet included as well or shall I get a little book with different ideas?

lots of little bits in it (qwhich my girls have hidden) the tiger face is one, as is the butterfly. i keep practising swirly things on the girls atm. not really gotr the hang of them yet.

Pickie · 03/11/2007 19:37

thanks very much, looking forward on trying it, shame Christmas is 7 weeks away!

I'm completely unartistic but still get brilliant results with the snazaroo one by just following the instructions in their booklet which is enclosed with the kit It's amazing how easy it is & good the results look! You can get lots of other designs too if you just google on Face Painting
