Next car after a CRV

Currently have a 2011 CRV, done about 80k miles. It has been v reliable but starting to think about next car. i love driving and do 95% of the driving, but don't like this car, it's functional but no style, we call it the potato. Picked it up last week after MOT and the staff were joking with me about it being an old mans car etc. It's heavy and cumbersome.
So looking for ideas or suggestions. Would be buying second hand, approx 3 years old around 30k miles. Budget 27-32k.
I do about 12-15k miles a year, commuting down lanes and local roads, occasional motorway journeys with family.
Have a 7 and 4 year old, would like similar size boot to current CRV and do like the raised ride height of an suv. A hybrid would be the icing on the cake but not sure if many available second hand yet.
Ideas so far:
Newer model CRV
Volvo XC60
Audi A4 all road
Mercedes GLE350
Lexus RX (big enough boot?)
Toyota rav 4
Mercedes c class all terrain
Jaguar f pace

I don't know much about cars so the above might not be realistic/available. I know the Skoda's are good cars now but DH won't consider them.

It's a shame your DP won't consider Skoda, they are part of the VW/Audi group and just as good but a badge is important to some ppl. I would prefer one over a Toyota and probably Lexus

To answer your question, I would choose a VW Tiguan. Really nice looking, particularly the sporty (R?) model and has to be v similar size to a crv. Failing that I'd look at the mentioned Volvo, very understated

You can't go wrong reading reviews on Parker's, both from journalists and owner's. You can also get guides for free of what you should be looking to pay

I had a 2006 CRV, and it was a rock solid reliable car. In fact so much so that my neighbour bought it from me as his winter car (drives a sports car normally) and loves it.
DH has a new CRV Hybrid, and its good, but a very different car to the old CRV, and a much smaller boot than mine had. He previously had a Skoda Superb which had a cavernous boot
