Home Hair dye turned orange

With no hairdressers open and a pending wedding I am really upset I've done this to myself.....

Look at my pictures attached

How do you fix bleached hair gone bad?

I've tried purple shampoo and masks but still no budging and my head feels so sore I don't feel I will have any hair left if I dye it again.

Help....any hairdressers out there with advice would be very welcome x

What did you use on it? If you haven't bleached it enough to get past the orange tones to yellow ones then purple shampoo won't help

mumofone100 · 14/02/2021 13:45

I used Garnia nutrisse ultra blonde D+++

You need to bleach Your roots again . Make sure you don’t overlap or it could cause breakage

DamnShesaSexyChick · 14/02/2021 13:47

You could try one of the Jerome Russell toners.

Soberfutures · 14/02/2021 13:47

U need a toner on it. I use either bleach London or one from superdrug knight and wilson

Book a free consultation with Josh Wood colour and see what they advise. They do top quality home box dye.

Try wella t18 toner with 20 volume developer (you can buy it online as they're not in normal shops).

mumofone100 · 14/02/2021 20:11

Thank you, would I use the toner just on the orange roots or all over? Also what would I do with the developer .... would this be mixed in together with the toner? Appreciate x

The ones I use are pre mixed put on orange bits first then work through to the ends after a bit

It's not lifted enough for a purple based toner to take, you'd need a blue based to counteract the orangey shade but tbh I think I would go over the roots section again with a lightener/bleach to bring it up and them all over tone to get an even colour.
It isn't a hair nightmare though so don't panic, I think this can be easily fixed.
Also maybe get this moved to the style and beauty section, there are some knowledgeable ladies over there.

Yes, mix toner and developer in a 1:2 ratio (follow instructions on pack). You can do the roots first, keep it on for a bit then run the rest through the length and keep few more minutes (as roots are more brassy they will need longer.) It says keep up to 30 mins but I don't do more than 15 as I find it's strong enough but If colour is too blue at first don't worry, it does fade over washes.
Hope that helps x
