Girls Coats - Where can I get a warm winter one from ?

I'm having a terrible time trying to find a nice warm winter coat for my dd. She has a warm school coat but I'd like a nice girly coat for days out.

I'd need either age 4-5yrs if generous enough or age 5yrs. Although dd is 3.7yrs she does wear age 4-5yrs clothes, sometimes bigger depending on the brand.

I found a lovely fleece lined anorak in Boden but delivery time is 3 weeks !

I don't really want anything too plain, maybe something a bit funky. She loves horses so something horsey would be fab!

I've looked in loads of places but totally stuck and fed up now.
Any suggestions of other shops or online options ?
Thanks

woolworths have some really girly ones hth

Debenhams have some nice looking ones. Or Zara always have gorgeous kids' stuff.

H&M tend to be good quality and v. warm - padded and fleece lined. Why not try ebay?

Tillyboo · 31/10/2007 22:27

I did look on Ebay but couldn't see anything suitable, it's difficult if the size is wrong too i.e. you can't exchange it etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far !

M&S have a lovely coat for girls, not pink for once!

It is dark green with pink embroidery, a detachable hood (wihout fur) and a pink detachable body warmer/liner. Very "Mod" looking but cute too.

It is on their website.

Tillyboo · 01/11/2007 07:50

ggirl - I had earmarked the pink horsey one but blimey, it's expensive. But lovely all the same. We go racing a lot so it'd be very apt - looks very warm too.

calmovercautious - I can't see it on the website, can you do a link ?

Here

Is the M&S one. Should go up big enough for your DD but I had to buy 18 - 24m for DD 14m (although she is a big girl for her age like me!) They do a 4 - 5 years one.

callmeovercautious · 01/11/2007 18:26

That was my first link btw [very proud of myself]

Tillyboo · 01/11/2007 18:40

Well done !

I like it, wonder why I couldn't find it. I think I'd better try it on in store as I don't want to have to send it back if too small.
