Hi lisalisa
We have Safari and dd loves playing . The object of the game is to collect one of each animal on your notebook/card. Each player gets a different colour notebook with the shadows of each animal on. You put all the wooden animals around the board with one of each kind of animal hiding under a tree. The little man (in our family he may be a hunter or a zookeeper) is the marker. The youngest player goes first. Shake the dice and move around the circle clockwise for that number of animals. If you land on an animal and it's one you don't already have, you put it in your notebook. If the animal is under a tree, you can take the animal and put the tree over any other animal. If the dice turns up the zookeeper, you can move him to any animal on the board and put that one in your notebook. If the dice turns up the pond, it means your animals are thirsty and you need to put one animal from your card back on the board by one of the ponds so it can have a drink. In that case, the zookeeper stays with the animal by the pond. First one to fill their notebook is the winner.
