Anyone know how to take a Tiny Love mobile apart?

Got a Tiny Love Symphony in Motion mobile which I'm trying to take the arms off to pack away. The problem is that it seems to be designed so that you can't dismantle it - once the arms click in they won't click out again. It looks as though you might be able to get it apart with a triangular screwdriver which, funnily enough, I don't have.

Has anyone else worked it out? Or do I perhaps just have to apply brute force and pull?

Ta.

Do you mean the 3 arms that come out of the round bit in the middle? If you do, mine came with that whole bit already assembled so I assumed it doesn't come apart.

Oh, don't think we ever figured out how to dismantle that bit, sorry!
However DS is 2 next week and the music box bit is still on his cot (as it was on DD's) He still asks for it when he goes to sleep and can turn it on/off himself if he wants to. Most long-lasting bit of baby kit we got apart from the pushchair

the three arms ie the bits the things dangle off ... do they come off? Ours never did (even when first bought...)
Sorry!

Mine needed to be assembled when I bought it, ie I had to stick the three arms into the round bit in the middle.

Never mind, thanks for the help .

I've taken the music box of DS's cot as he has a tendency to flail his arms around in his sleep, turn the music on and wake himself up! It's quite an incredible achievement.

SuperMonkey - sounds like you are packing the mobile away for a purpose, but IF you were to consider selling the music box I'd be interested. My ds (like feetheart's) still loves the music box, so I'm looking for another one (saved the mobile bit for no.2, due soon, but really not worth trying to take ds's music box off him!)

I've got a music box going spare as the mobile has stopped working. Was figuring out what to do with it really, it's got the remote too. It's the old style-one but the tunes are really lovely imo.

Oooh accessorize, that would be brilliant - how much would you like for it?

accessorizewithbabysick · 02/11/2007 20:36

Ummm, would £7 be ok as postage might be quite a bit?

Alva · 02/11/2007 22:20

That sounds good - thank you.
How shall we do this? Am not currently set up to contact other mumsnetters tho I think I can accept messages - happy to pay the fee if it simplifies things, tho!
