Hello
My dd is 4 soon and can't ride a bike yet, can anyone recommend a good first one with stabilisers that I can remove later?

Thanks

Look for the blog cyclosprog, lots of recommendations on bikes for kids.

There are two bits to learning to cycle, learning to pedal and learning to balance. Peddling is easy, stabilisers help them learn that but stop them learning balance. Get a balance bike for a few months. We bought a frog tadpole for £50 off fb marketplace and sold it in the same place for £60 a year later. He then jumped on the next bike up (a frog 43) and could pedal it within 5 mins. He’s just 4, cycles 5 miles happily. We sold that bike at a £5 loss. Look at cyclosprog for more ideas but second hand frog bikes and Isla bikes cost a bit but lose next to nothing. They are also half the weight of many of the character bikes with stabilisers.

I would recommend a balance bike first and then move onto a bike, mine all learnt that way and hated stabilisers.
Mine had frog bikes (expensive but very lightweight) and most of out street have learnt to ride on it as it is so light
Avoid character bikes at all costs
