Interflora seems VERY expensive! I wanted to spend up to £25 at the most. Thanks.

I use Crocus a fair bit and their flowers are good quality.

what about here

peskipixie · 27/10/2007 08:51

i was looking for some for my mum and noticed the flowers by post are half the price of the ones sent by courier. i can only imagine this is because you pay a huge amount for the courier (might be wrong) but i dint trust the post. anyway i rang a local flower shop and got an enormous bunch of amazing flowers, not your usual bunch of scraggy carnations for £30. looked way better than anything i found online. delivery was only £3.50 as it was local. ummm... so the point of that ramble was is there a flower shop near your friend?

peskipixie · 27/10/2007 08:52

and i paid over the phone by card, didnt see the flowers til i went to my mums

tigerschick · 27/10/2007 08:53

Not only is Interflora pricey, we had a case of card fraud after we used their online service. The bank said it was happening a lot after people used Interflora. They may well have sorted the problem now but it has put us off.

I know you said that you don't want to use them anyway, but I just wanted to add a warning for anyone else who might be reading

M&S are usually good.No delivery charge either

I usually look on directory enquiries to find a local florist and phone through an order - saves on the massively inflated delivery costs.

Next have a nice range and Tesco's do too.

bunches are good - no p&p and they always seem to last for ages.
