Leap Pad products - anyone else had the problems I have had?

Have had two of their products now - the Little Touch Leap Pad and Leap Pad plus Writing. Neither appeared to work after 12 months. Am really hacked off at the moment about this. Have e-mailed Leap Pad and am awaiting a response but as both had seemingly developed the same fault I cannot say I am that impressed - especially as both products were in the £40 region.

The current Leap Pad doesn't even appear to recognise which page we are using. Have tried changing batteries etc to no avail.

Anyone else experienced problems with these products or have I just been unlucky?

Ours play up too so would be interested to hear the response.

So far on e-mail response I do have to say that their Customer Service people have been helpful.
Have said they will send me a new pen to see if that's the problem. Watch this space.

Yep,ours plays up - tells me it doesn't recognise the cartridges and sometimes crashes
