Is my 2.6 yo too young for a bedside light?

Hello

DD is waking early and likes to sit and read in bed, but as soon as I go in she wants to come in our room - she loves her bedroom and I'm sure would be really happy if she had a bedside light she could use herself.

Any recs? Or is she too young for this?

Thanks

There are some lights designed for younger children, they have guards so they can't touch the bulb, that would be my only worry that child or duvet or pillow come in contact with hot bulb.

Or Ikea do some covered wall lights she could have on the wall above the bed.

We started dd1 with a touch from Elc, then progressed to a childrens lanmp.

DD has always had a bedside light. She did have one from Ikea that had an enclosed lampshade bit so you couldn't get to the bulb. Now she has a Princess bedside light/torch thing.

we got a normal bedside light from B&Q which is touch sensitive on the base so our dd only has to tap the base to turn it on and off. means no fiddling up near the bulb. They were cheap too, about £5 for two lamps. It also has several brightness levels.

Ooh - lovely - thanks for all your helpful suggestions!

Am off to ikea this weekend so will have a look at theirs!
