Urban or Terrain Mountain Buggy?

I'm looking for advice on whether to get an urban or a terrain Mountain Buggy. After scrimping with my first 2 kids, and pregnant now with my 3rd, I've finally given up on my pushchair which I hate, and am going to invest in a Mountain Buggy. I do a lot of walking (around the town and also on trails), and I've heard nothing but praise for Mountain Buggy's, but whats your opinion on each model???
Thanks for any advice!

I have a terrain which I got for child no 4 and then wondered why I'd been messing around with bloody stupid other pushchairs for the previous 3, it is marvellous - simple, robust, comfortable, indestructible. I've added a sheepskin liner and a cosytoes and some days I want to crawl in there myself it looks so comfy.

If you do any trails at all then i'd go for the terrain. Mind you I havne't used an urban so I can't really comment

terrain--its fab both in town and off road

I have an urban, and it's been fab (pushchair no.5 and definitely the best). Has handled quite rough ground pretty well (you can fix the wheel which helps). Depends what the trails are like that you walk. I like the urban because I can very easily steer it with one hand whilst helping my elder son on his bike etc. and it's great in shops really manoevrable.

Pros for the terrain are the handbrake, and the fact that's smaller to fold up than the urban which is really a huuuuge pushchair albeit easy peasy to fold. Does terrain have adjustable handlebar too as that is big plus.

I think you can buy a handbrake for the urban if that is any help?

We went for the urban as although we do a lot of walking it is not too rough, e.g. paths through the woods, along the prom at the beach etc, not really "off road".

Can't tell you how it is, as not due till Dec! But it seems v easy to fold up and down, and v light compared to other things we looked it. It is huge though!

The Terrain is brilliant - I love it - and I have walked miles over bridleways, beaches, fields etc with it.
However I would not use it in town. There it becomes big and bulky and unsteerable. I bought a cheap buggy for that type of journey otherwise the Mountain Buggy just takes up so much room on the paths and in shops.

A vote for the urban. The swivel wheel is fab about town. You can turn it in it's own space using one hand easily. We use ours on the beach and I can push my 19 month old over the sand forwards with no bother. If you really do a combination of stuff I would heartily recommend it. I also don't find it too big in the shops. Just for note, I used mine from birth without a carrycot and my DD loved it.

Thank you for all your advice - I'm off to test drive both models with this info in hand!
