Wide calf wellies??

An abundance of rainfall mixed with millions (possible exaggeration there) of tier 4 muddy walks has proved beyond doubt that I need to buy myself some wellies. Trouble is I’m on the larger side and really struggle (read: never have been able) to find a pair that will fit around my calves. Any recommendations would be gratefully received! TIA x

I just got some Peter Storm wellies that are ideal for just that!

I tried wide calf ones that had a strap on them. They were rubbish and strap soon broke. But I’m very happy with my cheap plain black mid calf ones, which eliminate any wide calf problems!

Mine are just Dunlop wellies. Search for Dunlop short wellies on Amazon.

I’ve got the same problem, I got a pair in shoe zone years ago not sure if they are on line at the moment, but they were the only ones I could find that fit around my calf’s

I also have Dunlop half height/short wellies. They're looking enough but much more comfy than the fashionable ones I'd been bought as a gift, which didn't fit that well even when I lost weight on my calves.

I have recently (at the age of 42) found the first pair of wellies that fits around my calves: jilleon.
Not cheap but I'm thrilled with them.

Dunlops mid calf are wide, they have a toggle to adjust the width at the top. Mine are fleece lined, had them years they last really well. Got mine on amazon, they're unisex rather than womens.

Jileon are specifically designed for wide calves, rather than just making standard boots wider.

Thankyou so much for all the recommendations, it looks like a lot of Jilleon stock is pre order only at the minute so I’ll try the short Dunlop’s out and if they don’t fit I’ll pre Oder a Jilleon pair. Thankyou so much!
