Want to buy a Castle/fort for DS1 for Christmas - any recommendations?

Want something that will last since we have two boys

Well Hever castle is lovely and has been around for yonks, so it must be pretty sturdy.

ELc do a fantastic castle. they have two although i think teh smaller ios actually a fort rather than a castle.

teh smaller is £40 and the larger £70.

ds hs a similar (homemade) one to the larger one and he loves it

Does anyone have the ELC tower of doom one? Is it good quality?

there are some lovely things here Bit pricy though. It's my favourite catalogue!

we bought this for our ds (8 yrs)last xmas and he loves it - very good quality much better shape for positioning toy soldiers on etc - will be getting him the dungeon of doom they have just brought out for xmas this year

it is fab.
its basicly lots of pieces of wood that slot together and are really secure, and yet you can unslot them to store it away.

i couldn't afford it so we had a go at building one ourselves....we did a pretty good job i must say.

but i do wish i could get Ds the ELC one

letterbox. We bought it 2 yrs ago and ds is still playing with it.

Tower of Doom is good - but its a bit too big for my liking.

Is now in DS's bedroom and gets little use.

any views on whether the ELC one is better than this one

Yes that's why I thought it might be better since DS1 is not yet 3 and I don't want it to be too scary.

He loves the castle they have at nursery which is very plain and quite small but its really not very good quality.

This looks like it will last.

argos very reasonably priced - no idea on quality

but could always get the argos one for look and take back if rubbish
