Is there any particular reason why he wants to get one for you in the first place?

I have a HP 3850 and I really should sell it if your interested lol

They are useful - it has pocket outlook, excel, word etc so you can use everything you would use those things for.

WigWamBam · 25/10/2004 11:42

Fairydust, if it's going to be just a gadget for him, or just end up gathering dust in your handbag, can't you ask for something nice instead?!

I love my PDA! It's very old and they don't make them anymore - palm V - but it's a fantastic diary and address book - not so good for lists etc as it takes so long to type things in - have a filofax for that that I just have plain paper in - no diary- also backed up on the computer so I can print out anything I want from it - ooh go on get one - you will love it.

captainCOD · 25/10/2004 11:50

no idea wil look

Carameli · 25/10/2004 11:52

I must be the only person here who like them. I've got an ipaq, a few years old now but its great, although I do sometimes worry about what would happen if it got lost or I forgot to back up on my laptop. I usually use it mainly for appointments etc and writing lists. I downloaded some games once, such as Monopoly but I drive most places now so don't have time to play on the bus as I did pre-dd. You can also use them to download music from a cd or internet etc.

fairydust, i use (and have done for about 6 years) a smart phone which is basically the best bits of a mobilephone and pda in one.

diary with reminders- great for appointments, birthday reminders, notes, etc and all addresses and telephone numbers etc.

So now no longer need a pda and phone
nor like the old days a diary, an adress book and a mobile phone all together in one small(ish) gadget!!!! me ... I LOVE IT hth
