Going to SA in 5weeks. We are taking DD's carseat with because we don't like the one we have now. It's a cheap one from Argos, and when DD falls asleep, her head hangs forward. So taking it with to SA and leaving it behind.
Want to get new carseat for DD (17months) before we go. Any recommendations? Can't spend too much money.

This is helpful for me too as I am about to buy the next car seat (9 months plus). Does anyone have any thoughts on car seats that turn into a booster seat later on? I am not entirely clear but I think they last until they are 10. Also, are there car seats that have isofix and can also be used with belts? my hubbie changes cars with work every year or so...

ejc2. I've got a Recaro young sport, which is for 9 mths to 10yrs. It isn't isofix, just use with belts. I have used it in 3 different cars with no problems at all. I love it but it wasn't cheap £140.

We have the Tobi, which is quite large, but reclines a bit and DH seems very comfy in it... coped perfectly well with the Portsmouth to Lake District epic!
