How much do floor length lined curtains cost?

It's a lot, isn't it?

I think we need some for our back door / window next to it. It is freezing next to them, I am sure we are losing loads of heat there, and we have only got some silly drape thing. I am almost scared to look how much they would cost. Does anyone know?

A lot (think they were about 100-200 in JL and M&S) but I got some in Dunelm that have really helped keep the heat in and only cost about 30 quid.

what is dunelm?

actually I was expecting them to be so atrocious that £100 sounds ok

but £30 would be GREAT

Sorry Dunelm Mill here if you've not got one near you.

Look on Ebay. Got mine there, 35 quid all up!

We got our hall curtain made to measure from John Lewis think it was about £150, but price will depend on the size and fabric. We got an extra heavy lining, to keep the heat in and draughts out, also make sure that the curatin touches the floor and is weighted to combat draughts.

Thanks I will dare to look into this further then. Can anyone tell me the difference in quality between the cheapo ones and the John Lewis ones please?

Dunelm are brilliant - got lovely cream lined curtains for ds's rooms - and one of them's got a HUGE Victorian window and they were less than £30 for the lot. No difference to John Lewis as far as I can tell - but you have to be lucky with what's in there - sometimes you can go and want to buy tons of stuff, and at others it's a bit tacky..!

Thank you, we have got one locally, I checked on the website. I have currently got dp in an arm lock but he is still resisting the idea of parting with money for curtains (we bought all our others - well 2 pairs, all other windows in the house have blinds or no curtains or crap curtains that came with the house) in a discount store for about £15, so this is going to be a work in progress to get him to agree

but my god it is cold in the dining room in the mornings
