nappy rash clear up stuff

any recomendations??
It looks really sore, sometimes bleeds abit. came up over night and has been there for a few days now. baby wont let anyone but me touch it without kicking up a fuss.

Sudocreme or similar barrier cream works. You can also unse Calendula cream which is very soothing as well as healing.

Be aware too that babies can get thrush on their botties,and it can bleed just like your describing,if sudocrem or the likes doesnt settle it down go to the hv for something,she will give you a form of canesten or try it yourself if you have any in the house.

dd got fungal infection on her bot at around 6 months. Needed a cream from dr to clear it - very red with spots which bled and were very sore. Perhaps the pharmacist could give you something stronger than metanium.

will have a look for metanium, can I get it from boots in mean time think I have sudacrem around here somewhere.
loobie, will there be any bad reaction to using canasten if it isn't thrush?

mix the sudocrem with metanium - makes it easier to clean off!!

I used to use baby salve made by green people and sold in Waitrose and sainburys. I fund it really good as Sudo and the such were to harsh for my liittle ones bum. PLus it was the only one he didnt get immune too iykwim it worked every time i used it not the just the first few times.

Champs no the canesten wont do any harm,but if it is thruch you will see a clear up within a day of using the canesten as it works immediatley.Where you could go on using the sudocrem etc for a copuple of days and see no difference then use the canesten and see a difference right away,a sure sign that it is thrush and not just typical nappy rash.
BUT IT WILL NOT HARM BABY AT ALL!!!!Just to reassure you LOL
