I need the facts on Sky TV

Since UKTV history has disappeared from the evening schedules, dh and I are finding that there really is NOTHING on the tv that we want to watch.

I am seriously considering Sky.....

OK, so do we have to have a hideous aerial attached to our house, or does it just come in a box these days?

Is Sky+ worth the extra money?

What packages should we get? Neither of us are bothered about sport, but like comedy, documentary, natural history, drama. have a 5 yr old dd, who is aware of the existence of Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, but doesn't seem to notice that we don't have them .

How is customer service these days? Have heard bad things about them in the past....

TIA

hi there, right we have sky and it's not a hoooge aerial on the wall, it's a lot smaller than they used to be.we do have a sky+ box but we blagged it free off them,we were already customers and pretended we couldn't afford our bill so they give us a free + box and halfed our bill for 3 months.you can pick whatever package you like from as little as 12.50 a month right up to 45 pounds.why dont you have a look on the sky.com site and see what they have on offer.

we love SkyPlus here and now couldn't live without it, so much easier than having to faff with the video machine and videos. And you can pause live TV if you want to nip to the loo quickly

I love SKY.

Highly recommend them

We made the mistake of changing over to Virgin last month ( only because they offered a cheaper deal)

We ended up back with SKY within 36 hours.

Good Customer service- good channels etc.

I think we pay £26 a month- we do not have sport channels or movies

fawkeoff · 20/10/2007 13:14

but if you go with virgin they just fit a little box to the front of your wall

yes sky+ is pretty fantastic, we did have a v+ box for a couple ofmonths in our bedroom and it was shit, it never worked and cost a bomb
