Delivery for fridge today. Delivery drivers take one look at door and say it’s too small and leave.

I then check depth of purchased product and it’s smaller than my door? But not by much.

I take it they remove packaging first? They said my door was small but it’s a regular 73 cm?

Would any handles protrude from the door making it even deeper? Would it need to turn as soon as it was in the door?

No straight through to kitchen. Delivery guys just looked at front door and left

How annoying! Where do you go from here? Do you get a refund? I would assume all fridges are similar depth

When ours was delivered they removed the packaging and the fridge/ freezer doors, (there are instructions in the manual on how to do this). We've moved it several times due to house moves and the doors have been off and on each time without any problems. We had a thin kitchen door in the first house, the fridge would have gone through intact but couldn't make the turn on the corner.

Have a look at the manual online if you can find it and see if the doors come off to aid delivery. The company may not be willing to do it but you may be able to argue that it can be done.

It was from Curry’s!

Yes I’d definitely get a refund but what I really want is the freezer 😔

My brother worked for Knowhow (Curry's delivery arm) 5 years ago and he used to take doors off fridges to deliver them but it counted as part of the 'installation' fee not just the delivery fee. I've just had a look on the website and it says they still do door removal and replacement but for £25, so it shouldn't be a huge problem if your fridge has removable doors but you may have to pay extra.

I paid £40 for installation. They literally said I couldn’t have one at all. But didn’t measure door or take it out of the van 😕
