Toasted sandwich

We used our toasted sandwich machine after about Two years.
It was almost inedible.

My husband used utterly buttery and put sliced Marks & Spencer cheese Ham and tomatoes. With Brown Hovis bread.
It was a soggy sandwich

White bread seems to do better in toastie makers

Probably because you didn't put cheese in it?

Does utterly butterly have a high water content? Some margarines do and that would affect how crispy it gets.
