Present idea for runner

Its coming up to Christmas but it's my husbands brothers birthday early December. I love getting something nice for someone that they actually need and, and we try come up with ideas, especially for his side of the family as I find it harder to buy because I genuinely enjoy it and I love if I get it right and get something someone genuinely enjoys.

He does run a lot and I was wondering if there are any runners out there who found a gadget or something that's great when running.

If you ask what I'm looking for, I don't know, completely out of my depths in the world of running. Is there anything over the years that you found useful and wouldn't want to miss going on a run? This can be winter or summer. Anything up to £50.

Running socks - they seem expensive but I find they're worth it (and every runner needs socks)

My favourite brand is Stance - performance good and they have seasonal/silly designs as well as more ordinary ones (I have some Star Wars ones)

Other things to consider are a merino buff or, if a parkrunner, then a water bottle personalised with his barcode

Or www.safetyskinproducts.com - reflective stuff you put on your skin (can also go on fabric, washes straight off) to make winter running safer, or on the same theme a light up arm band www.ronhill.com/products/light-armband

Or a running shirt - you can get Christmas designs, ones that look like black tie and DJ, various slogan which might appeal

Or running sleeves

@AuntieStella Thank you soooo much! This is such great advice!!! I discuss this with hubby and we may be able to buy 2 items on the list 🥰

You might also want to ask @MNHQ to move this to the 'exercise' topic, where it might be seen by more of the sporty posters, who might have further ideas
