Shake & Go speedway thing in ELC-really need your advice.

My 4 year old twin boys since seeing it in action with dp are pining after it for Xmas. As far as I can see you just shake a car and watch it go. It looks huge and costs £50!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd rather spend the money on some more Playmobil, something they would actually have to interact with. However feeling mean as it is their Xmas present after all. Please advise.
