Babydan configure safety gate or anything similar.

We need a safety gate for the top of some stairs but it is a wierd angle. I've seen the Babydan configure gate. Has anyone got this? If so, can just 2 of the 3 sections be used? (gate plus panel) or do you have to use all 3? Also, is there anything similar that anyone can recommend? Thanks inm advance :}

We have the babydan gate. We had the one that is a playpen that could be used as a gate( 5 sides I think) a smaller one wasnt available when we bought it.
see here www.babydan.com/page53.aspx?recordid53=113

We only used 3 sides as they have a connecting bracket between the panels and then you just use the number you need.

Im not sure if you can just use 2 panels, the info on their website just says

Included in the 3 piece basic set is a walk through gate section that can be installed anywhere in the configuration.

Hopefully someone more usefull will come along

We also have the gate/playpen babydan. As far as I can see you should be able to just use the gate and the panel. I would think that it would be a pretty expensive way of doing it though, since you would not be using even half of the parts.

Hi, thanks for those replies. I think we will end up going with the Babydan as I haven't really seen much else. kindersuprise, the one I have been looking at has 3 pieces so we would only use one panel less (if that is possible) Otherwise we can accomodate all 3, it just means more room taken up in ds's bedroom. I haven't seen any other stairgates that look suitable apart from the Flexi Fit Gum Tree but I would only fit diagonally (Sp?) so not sure if there is enough room?

The babydan is great, btw, and very easy to fit (if you do not drill into the electric cable by mistake as the removal men did when they fitted ours )

We bought a babydan configure gate and just use two out of the three parts. It is fantastic and was the only thing that suited our needs. Our health authority supplied ours at a much cheaper cost which they do for any family who ask. The HV gave us the information.
