Did a thread on aibu - have bought one now from Dixons. You have to register and then just keep trying. I think they only put a few through at a time or someything. Amazon etc are all vvv expensive - Dixon was the basic starter package for £179. Good luck!

Bought one yesterday from Gamestation (online) - great deal £250 approx with Wii sports, big brain academy + 2 games.

(one of the games we selected was wii play, which apparently is important as you get a second controller that way )

You could try ordering from german amazon exactly the same as a UK console and you can use your normal amazon account details, logon etc How about a wii They seem to have them in stock more often than the UK and are slightly cheaper.

I got one on the baset after an age and then realised that I dont have a virgin account
registered which took forever
then I got to the checkout and it wouldn't acept my card

dh runs in with other card and takes gecko
I fill in new mastercard details and then it asks for 'mastercard securecode'

finally get securecode and get through checkout. I have a confirmation email and it say usually dispatched within 24 hours.....its the usually I don't like the look of
