So far we have got DD (who was 3 in May) a playmobil doll's house off Ebay. This is to add to an extensive Playmobil collection (airport, plane, plane, bin lorry etc) belonging to her brother. This will be her main present.

I have got her a collection of Lauren Childs books and a collection of Angelina Ballerina books from the book people.

I have got her some Sleeping Beauty pjs for Christmas Eve.

Stocking fillers so far are: Polly Pocket micro car, half a set of cheapo (£1) gel pens from Asda which will split with DS, Sleeping Beauty gel pens, princess hair clips, rings from Claires, princess pants (detect a theme? ), fairy bookmark, "do not enter" sign for bedroom door.

MIL has got her:
£20 pram/sling//travel cot/bouncy chair set from Woolworths
Disney Princess Hama beads set
Leggings and top
Set of Ladybird books from Studio24
Sleeping Beauty crown and wand
Bedroom set for playmobil house
3little miss books
hair clips
necklace and bracelet

SIL has got her:
polly pocket bride set
ELC fairytale coach and horses

Other stocking ideas are:
fairy pants
choc coins
tights

Other things she says she would like Father Christmas to bring are:
Sleeping Beauty dress
Little Mermaid shoes
Sleeping Beauty microdoll set (bit like polly pocket but from Disney)
Boy Baby Born
Polly pocket full size car

She has not actually asked for the doll's house, mind you. And she will need some more furniture. Also usually I buy her a new dress.

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 20:28

dont think there will be any room left on santas sleigh for my dd age 4, if you get the rose petal cottage on the sleigh first

my dd is 4 and and i hoping to get her very little as this may be the last year i can get away with this way of thinking

probably and etch sketch thing from ELC

dont know what else will wathc this thread for ideas

heifer · 13/10/2007 20:28

yes I agree, I think DD will spend hours playing in it..

She will also be getting

this, and my brother is going to paint it all for her He was going to make one, but when I saw it only cost £50 I told him not to bother and he offered to paint it all etc, which I thought was a nice idea)..

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 20:29

bozza i am very at how organised your family are.......

i need to get my at togeter

heifer · 13/10/2007 20:30

fawkeoff - think your budget must be a little higher than mine

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 20:31

if anyone is after the wired looking baby alive doll it is half price in boots at the moment

bozza · 13/10/2007 20:33

tottie if you look carefully you will notice that is not my family, it is my ILs, and when my family eventually get round to thinking about it mid-December they will be put out that the ILs have "pinched" all the best ideas.

A similarly long list has also been purchased for 6yo DS, and I assume, my 3yo nephew.

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 20:37

whoooops hope i havent upset you calling them your family,

i am lone parent so i only have to think about my gorgeous family, and no in laws to please

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 20:37

by the way bozza do they ask you what to get your dd?

havalina · 13/10/2007 20:40

my dd(4)hates dolls and girly things, so I will mostly be getting her
A dinosaur (she would be happy with just this)
Night garden toys
A furreal friend (she really wants this)
Peppa pig train thingy/or boat thingy
DVD's
Books
Probably something thomas
A few board games
An xbox360 game (probably viva pinata)
Was toying with a retro games console (n64 or gamecube as these are cheap)
And erm other random things obviously within a budget.

Wish she would get in to girly things would be so much easier

havalina · 13/10/2007 20:42

Would love to get her a dolls house, but think she just wouldn't appreciate it, she loses all the bits of toys as it is, anyone think it would be worth it?

fawkeoff · 13/10/2007 20:42

i may get half for xmas and the other half for her b day as its on the 14th of january

heifer · 13/10/2007 20:46

other things she has asked for

Peppa Pig Caravan
Cat toy (moves around and meows)

bozza · 13/10/2007 20:46

No tottie not all upset - rather amused at the idea of my family being organised. If only you knew. A lot of the idea came from me/DD but one or two things like necklace/bracelet (fail safe really for little girls) and books on own iniative. I think that MIL will probably still buy more - she does get rather carried away and it looks like DD is going to be her only granddaughter.

Tottie32 · 13/10/2007 21:06

ok like the sound of your family very much like me,

i did say to dd the other day we need to think about what she would like from santa and she said 'mum i know what i want' i said oh what would you like, she said a penis so i can wee like a boy', this was very funny but no surprise as she has wanted one for a while but didnt think she would want one from santa.... she sits back to front on the toilet to pretend she is a boy....

i have got tickets for 22nd december to se santa in harrods, i will die on the spot if santa says to her now young lady what would you like from santa and she says a 'penis please'

chankins · 13/10/2007 21:11

Hiya - my dd2 age 3 really wants the polly pocket race to the mall, with the little cars and polly's, because she is well into her cars. dd1 age 5 wants some sort of electronic dog you can train to do things. In laws are getting them both pixel chix as dd1 had one for her birthday and they both love it. we've got them a great sylvanian family house on ebay, which I'll probably play with and love more than them ! (Always wanted them as a child and only had one pathetic figure!)

bozza · 13/10/2007 21:23

chankins DD really loves the polly pocket cars because they are girly but still cars - she is a very girly girl but with an older brother and male cousins.

tottie I think that you need to do some big time brain washing on DD and what she wants for Christmas between now and 22 Dec.

JARM · 13/10/2007 21:35

little people stuff
loads of books (she takes after her mummy!)
probably a DVD - night garden i think
and lots of little stocking fillers like pens/hair bands/paints etc etc

DD1 was 3 in july

BlueCornflower · 13/10/2007 21:48

Roller skates, Angelina books, bricks (!), sticker books. She doesn't want much so I'm not buying much (can't afford it anyway!)

Everyone is talking about Polly Pocket - I'll have to have a look...

bozza · 13/10/2007 21:49

TBH I think polly pocket is one to grow into. DD has one set and finds it a bit fiddly.
