I like it. but it could be uncomfy and dc's are bound to spill gunk over the cushions

Fimbo · 12/10/2007 14:03

Hooray someone else likes it. It's described on that link as linen seats but its actually fabric than you can wipe over. I have sat on it and it is surprisingly comfy. I am baulking slightly at the price as I already have a dining room table and chairs.

sorry dont like it
would be uncomfortable with no backs to the seats
does it not look sort of 'dated' already..

Fimbo · 12/10/2007 14:24

it depends on your kitchen fimbo
dscribe your kitchen

MamaG · 12/10/2007 14:26

I thought the no back thing would be horrid

But I have 2 chairs and a bench and usually choose to sit on teh bench!

Yours looks like it would be very cosy, great for a family.

SuperMonkey · 12/10/2007 14:27

I really like it.

Fimbo · 12/10/2007 14:32

Ok on here it is the Calgary but not pear in white with oak block wooden tops. If you look at the Aspen, that is kind of the way the room is set out, with white tiles on the floor.

oh and there is an archway through to the utility and we get the keys on the 26th!!! Yay. (new build)

Well...since you asked....I don't like it. It's trying too hard, iyswim. Also, those seats do not look child friendly.

But, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

[feeling guilty for giving honest opinion, even though invited]

Fimbo · 12/10/2007 14:38

Its ok M2PW - have bought it anyway. My dc have already roadtested it and love it

cant see it in calgarylink but first overall impression was it was for a hobbit!!

..oth...can see it looking swish and modern,.. though and as with anything..in the right setting etc..

bodycolder · 12/10/2007 14:48

I saw it in mfi too Seats are v uncomfortable but my dp loves it Very good for space

ledodgy · 12/10/2007 14:49

Im not fussed myself but they do a much cheaper version here

ledodgy · 12/10/2007 14:49

OOps just saw you've bought the other one.

Fimbo · 12/10/2007 14:53

MFI is where I first saw it - what's the betting it goes half price in the Christmas sales

OP posts:
nailpolish · 12/10/2007 16:48

i like it fimbo

cremolafoam · 12/10/2007 16:55

I like it but dh says he would just end up falling over the cake slice seats.

wheelybug · 12/10/2007 16:57

We've had stools in the kitchen and haven't found the no backs a problem - dd has sat on them too regularly since before 2 with no problems.
