The Quinny Zapp is from 6 months and is light, 3 wheeled and not hugely expensive.

But they are like Marmite I think, love em or hate em. I hate em

Some pushchairs are from 6 months because they don't lie flat.

Greensleeves · 10/10/2007 17:31

no, no, you need this

Quinny Freestyle is brilliant. I put a very heavy 3 year old in it and it felt sooo light to push. Not dear especially on ebay and wheels come off...it also folds very flat.

FrightAttendant · 10/10/2007 17:41

Also suitable from about 3 months, and can take a car seat, and is very cushy

FrightAttendant · 10/10/2007 17:42

I hate Zapps too

TrinityRhino · 10/10/2007 17:43

I have a quinny formula and my mayte has a quinny freestyle and they look about the same to me, mines huge and really heavy to lift in and out of boot
it doesn't feel heavy to push but is hard work to fold up and down
and takesup my whole boot

Hauck make a good one, it used to sell in WalMart for under $100 Canadian. Not sure where to get them in the UK.

FrightAttendant · 10/10/2007 17:45

Oh

TrinityRhino · 10/10/2007 18:46

the best 3 wheeler I had was that one from Mothercare - Urban Detour. light small and soooo much better than my pricey mistakes.

FrannyandZooey · 10/10/2007 18:49

I love my Urban Detour

as ex nanny I have tried so many sorts of buggies - this is the best IMO, I would buy one again in a flash

Jazzicatz · 10/10/2007 18:52

I have a Nipper and that is brilliant and not too expensive, have used it for both my boys and it is still going strong!!!

dinny · 10/10/2007 18:54

oooh, sorry, Jazzi, but have to disagree about Nipper - v unwieldy, big and pricey (imo)

bran · 10/10/2007 18:55

A Phil & Ted's is fairly lightweight (9kg). I loved my Urban Detour, but I wouldn't call it light (I think it was nearly 12 kg) and I virtually never lifted it in and out of the car for that reason.

TrinityRhino · 10/10/2007 18:55

but the urban detour looks like it has huge wheels and the whole thing loks BIG

Jazzicatz · 10/10/2007 18:55

Do you think Dinny? Really pleased with ours, really good for countyside, not so good for town though I have to say.

TrinityRhino · 10/10/2007 18:56

p and t's are really expensive aren't they

OP posts:
LadyVictoriaOfCake · 10/10/2007 18:59

urban detour isnt as long folded as the wuinny you have.

and the wheels pop off really easily.

CarGirl · 10/10/2007 18:59

I've got a mothercare traxx, light, compact, solid tyres with raicover for £20, fixed wheel and suitable from 6 months. It's about the closest you're going to get to a mountain buggy breeze without buying one IMO

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 10/10/2007 18:59

i can do you a picture of mine folded if you want. and with back wheels removed. (not selling it, well dont think i am lol)

CarGirl · 10/10/2007 19:02

urban detour is very deep folded though isnt it? I could get a P&T or a xts twister in my old boot the urban detour was nowhere near!

TrinityRhino · 10/10/2007 19:04

do you have a pic or link cargirl,#i've never heard of it

hi misdee

really don't fancy the urbaqn detour, looks as big and annoying as the quinny i have at the mo

please excuse bad one handed typing]

mine was the really simple really small kind of navy Urban Detour from 5 years ago - suppose this here would be the equivalent but it looks bigger
