Another Brio qn - can you fix the track together semi permanently as ds knocks it over all the time!

Another Brio qn - we just got our consignment of Brio type train track and trains and it is fab BUT it keeps getting knocked over by ds (there are bridge bits so not as sturdy as if it were all flat). My question is can you buy something to fix the track together semi permanently - a clip or something?

I've seen it set up on a table with the pieces screwed onto the base - seems to work very well like this, although no fun of changing all the layouts of course.

What about masking tape on the bottom? It's low tack so won't leave sticky on your track pieces, but should avoid it falling apart as often? Is cheap and quick too, and will just come off when you want to change the track or put it away.

good idea - will try masking tape (luckily dh just happened to buy a roll the other day!)

Sounds like that would be fine as it just falls apart too easily at the moment every time ds knocks it or if he doesn't put the train on gently enough (he's only 2 so to be expected but it means there are constant shouts of mummy beckoning me to sort it out!)

I was wondering about using velcro dots oon the bottom of the track pieces and a fabric covered board to set things up on - we're having this at the moment as ds likes to sit in the middle of his train tracks. No idea how practical the idea is, but it works for sticking posters to poster boards at conferences...

ooh another good idea
