can anyone help me find plain girls jeans, elasticated waist, size 4-5 yrs?

DD is 2.5 but very big for her age so has to wear clothes for 4-5 yr olds... it's a real shame as so many of the clothes are so grown-up looking. She is only recently out of nappies so needs an elasticated waist for ease of removal!

I don't like lots of fussy embroidery and sparkly bits - I just want some plain jeans. I have bought Mini Boden in the past but can't really afford it at the moment! H&M are our usual port of call but they only seem to have cords in lurid colours at the moment.

any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Could she have some plain boys ones as they usually come minus the sparkly stuff? They all look the same really don't they.

If you want plain jeans for a girl, its very simple... try the boys rail! Similarly if you want plain khakis, which look great on girls with a nice top (and they don't show the mud like pale pink)

I did get some plain, elastic waist jeans in Sainsburys the other week but age 8, not sure what size they'd have started at.

George at Asda and Tesco usually have some basic elasticated waist jeans - at some silly price too!

yes boys would fine, she has had boys trousers before, the main issue really is the elasticated waist.

had a brief look in H&M boys and all the plain trousers seemed to be non-elasticated.

I can second Asda as a good place to look. Very good value too.

thanks for the supermarket suggestions, will have to have a drive out to the big Tesco at the weekend (how exciting!)

M&S do some plain jeans for girls - £5. I don't think they're elasticated but they do have those adjustable waist thingies.

My dd is 3.5 and very tall for her age. She has the ones that moonshine mentions. They have an ajustable waist and are quite long in the leg (herd are age 4-5), they are quite a slim-fit so aren't all baggy on the legs and bottom like others seem to be. Great value for £5.
