SatNav with rear camera??

I'm a complete car novice, but I am about to purchase my first (used) car. It doesn't have sat nav or rear view parking cameras or sensors, so I'm looking to buy them and get them installed.

I have two questions:

  1. is it possible to buy sat navs with built-in rear view parking cameras/sensors or would I have to buy two different pieces of kit?

  2. what is "better" - parking cameras or sensors? I'm not the most confident person when it comes to parking and I feel that having sensors or a camera would help. My initial gut feeling is that sensors would be better in order that I wouldn't start to rely on using the cameras, but other people have said that cameras are much better.

Any advice welcome!

Depends on the car you are buying and whether said model can be found with a Nav/Camera.

Always better to have both Nav/Cam in my honest opinion.

I don't really use the camera on my car, i don't find it that helpful. The parking sensors are the same, but can be useful at night etc when you can't always see if someone walked behind you in the car park etc. The satnav is a god send, i use it frequently to take the kids places. My car also has apple play so you can plug in your phone and use google maps etc, this is incredibly useful for on the go when i want to stay in touch with my DH via text, without using my phone.
