Leasing an electric car as second car

We're thinking of leasing an electric car as a second car. We'll do short trips and keep the bigger petrol car for longer drives or when we need space.
Where do I start looking for an idea of how much it could cost? I have no idea.

A car dealer maybe. Give them a call.

There are some websites that compare the costs of car leasing. Just google them (can't remember the URLs off hand). You can filter the results by electric vehicles so you'll get a good idea of pricing. Also remember you can haggle the quoted prices down a bit when you call the brokers listed.

Mainstream dealers are allegedly often don't understand EVs and may be inclined to steer you to other choices.

If you are near Milton Keynes look at the EV experience centre.

Google EV specialists and you should get a number of results to allow you to compare.

We lease ours through dh's work scheme. Company cars are not nearly as popular as they used to be because they are taxed quite heavily but EVs attract all sorts of tax breaks so it actually works out quite reasonable. I don't know if this is an option for you.

We intended ours to be a second car and in fact use it as our main car for most journeys, even longer ones. It's only when all 5 of us are going on a long journey that we use the bigger car. We have a small EV, a Renault Zoe so it's a bit of a squash for us all to get in.

Do you have off-road parking? Are you planning to get a charging point fitted? I love my electric car but would find it unworkable without being able to charge at home.

Can anyone give me advice on where can I purchase a used car to take my son to school, he was diagnosed with ADHD/ autism. Are what car dealers will give discount with families with special needs children. Thanks

Check if a workplace does salary sacrifice for car leasing.

Good article in the times yesterday (sunday) Tesla model 3 was the best selling car last month!
