Quinny Buzz (we had its predecessor the Quinny Fashion)

n1cky1980 · 05/10/2007 19:18

can't find anything about the heaviness for the gesslien. have emailed them tho!

They are pretty hefty from memory(popular in Germany and Switzerland)

the only thing i don't like about the icandy and the britax vigour is that the seat unit isn't suitable until 6 months and a lot of babies out grow the pram part sooner than this. i'm a bit particular about babies being able to go to sleep on a flat surface. even now and ds is 15 months just think it is easier and more comfortable to go to sleep if you're not sitting up!!

nappyaddict · 06/10/2007 10:59

same with the buzz

nappyaddict · 06/10/2007 11:06

the high trek is only from 6 months too. my favourites are the gesslein, bebecar icon, mutsy and zooper.

n1cky1980 · 06/10/2007 14:58

mm still like the gesslein. only thing that puts me off is a) price b) no-one i know has ever had one! it does seem to do everything that i want it to do. My ds is 11 months and am worried that he will grow out of the britax too fast. (he is tall for his age)

what does the gesslein do that none of the other ones mentioned do?

ChasingSquirrels · 06/10/2007 15:57

I have the Babystyle Cyclone (discontinued but basically the same as the Britax).
I got it when ds2 was about 9mo, and at the time was v worried about him growing out of it quickly (got it on e-by and hadn't seen in the flesh before). He is now 20mo and is fine in it, so it should do him until he is out of it next spring time.

I had an old second-hand Gesslein Trend (4 wheeler not 3 wheeler, though it did face in both directions).

Lovely pram, very well made, bouncy and extremely sturdy, but too big, wide and heavy for me so put it back on Ebay. Could barely lift it into the car boot! I would imagine the 3 wheelers are also good quality and design, though do check weight and heftiness if that's likely to be an important factor for you.

FirstAtForty · 06/10/2007 16:09

Forgot to say the seat size was extremely generous, the pushchair seat would have fitted up to an average 5 year old I reckon - my 6 month old looked like a pea on a drum!

n1cky1980 · 06/10/2007 17:44

just found out the gesslein is narly 15kg!! aye carumba! had put me off as the design looked fab. had a carrycot that could turn into cosytoes. (planning for no.2 already lol).

so leaves me with the britax vigour 3. i just hope the seat unit isn't too small as don't want to have to buy another! (dh beginning to think i have buggy problem lol)

Seat for the britax vigour is one of the smallest around, I'm afraid. Quite narrow. Would have been fine for my dd but depends on the size of your child. It reclines practically flat & although it says it can only be used from 6 months, I was happy using it a lot earlier than that. It's lovely & lightweight - probably the most compact 3 wheeler with proper air tyres around. However, they are bringing out a new model soon & they've changed the tyres to puncture proof ones on this, so I guess that means they're not air tyres anymore. Shame
