i need a nightlight thingy for each of ds1&2... they are both on top bunks in same room so it needs to besomething heatless they can have in the bed...
but id like it to fade out after a set time. they are 3 and 4, and started saying they are cared and seeing thing... they wwant light to reasure them but id like thatlight to fade to black (have other v pale nightliht for room itself) so the ligh doesnt wae or keep awake either of them or ds3 , who is also in the room.

Blooming Marvellous do a fading nightlight

kbaby · 04/10/2007 21:06

What about something like those magic bears that glow a light from their tummy.

massivebigpumpkinface · 04/10/2007 21:09

do they still do those Glo-worm toys that were around about 20 something years ago?

lol at typing, sounds very familiar!

TheMegapodeGuru · 04/10/2007 21:13

How about these?

lemonaid · 04/10/2007 21:15

We have the Blooming Marvellous one -- it's pretty good but it's a fixed 15-minute fade-out time (or less if you don't have it on full brightness to begin with). So OK as long as you don't want a longer period than that.

milliways · 04/10/2007 21:15

Would they like those glow-in-the-dark stars & planets that you can stick on the ceiling over their bunks?

TheMegapodeGuru · 04/10/2007 21:17

Ahem, I should like to point out that MY link exactly fits the brief...

GENIUS halloween name, Nappies, BTW

NappiesLaGore · 04/10/2007 21:40

megapode, i bow at the alter of such genius... your link does indeed fit the brief. (and yes, thats what i was thinking of too, kbaby)
mind you, light show? hope its not too psychadelic.. can see that possibly keeping others from falling asleep (i currently put them all to bed at once and sit in the dark while they each drink a bottle and go to sleep. takes about 10 minutes. well, thats the theory anyway...lol)

rubber ikea thing looks ace - but alas cant get to ikea! will have to twist someones arm to go for me... anyone fancy going and posting it to me? i can paypal you the money in advance... (might as well ask!)

the blooming marvellous thing may well be the simplest answer... i can see im going to have to do a bit of trial and error here, arent i?

milliways - have put some glow stars up and i think ds1 likes em, but i dont think ds2 does so much, i keep finding them on the floor, picked off the ceiling wherever he can reach them!

glo-worm toys is ringing a distant bell in memory...

Tis a bird that buries its eggs and then buggers off... derived from one of the many Claire Verity threads!

NappiesLaGore · 04/10/2007 22:11

that explains it (not)

i want all the options on here tbh... greedy cow that i am. impatient to find answer that 'works'.
