Advice needed re Maclaren Mac 3 and carrycot please.

My sister is pg and looking to buy a Maclaren Mac 3 three wheeler - can anyone recommend it or not? Also she is wondering whether or not to buy the carrycot - the Mac 3 is suitable from 3 months - she could use a sling up until then I suppose?

if it's a winter baby then i'd say the carrycot would be a good idea -don't have any personally experience with this but have a friend who's had it and loves it.

We bought the carrycot with our mac3, but only used it for a couple of months as our baby started to sleep with her arms flung out. She napped in it as it was a smaller space than her cot and I think she liked the smaller space (feels more secure?). We're thinking of selling ours (mac3 & carrycot + raincovers for both) - let me know if you're interested.
