No idea, I'm presuming he kicked so hard that they poppers gave way... either that or I should be posting in G+T
Is there a sleeping bag that is sturdier maybe?

If you sewed one side up do you think you would be able to sort of post him in to it and would that be enough to prevent him opening the other side? Or if you attached velcro would that put a spanner in the works?

To respond to your original question though - I have a bag from the white company which doesn't have poppers just a zip down the middle - you can see them on the website - they aren't cheap though- £28 - ours was a gift - thank goodness! Its a lovely website anyway

bumpto3 have a selection of grobags that zip down the middle and have no poppers - I think that style starts at the 6-18month size.

kiddicare also have some.

amazonianwoman · 04/10/2007 14:29

Meeely2 · 04/10/2007 14:38

i got mine from here, they have deals on so it's worth keeping an eye, I think i got my two at BOGOF.....

Seona1973 · 04/10/2007 19:26

my dd and ds have both slept on their tummies in front zipping grobags - the zips dont stick out at all and dont look uncomfy to lie on.

MerlinsBeard · 04/10/2007 19:28

just use a cover??

not being rude, neither of mine had them and sleep fine and are warm. i don't "get" them

claricebeansmum · 04/10/2007 19:29

Definitely G & T

Off you go....

Eckythump · 04/10/2007 19:45

If baby can undo the poppers try using the bag inside out. If the poppers themselves are failing, time for a new bag

Seona1973 · 04/10/2007 19:47

my ds moves all round the cot and could not be trusted not to get himself caught under them or get twisted up in them. grobags keep them at a constant temperature and cannot be kicked off by accident. getting his grobag on is part of ds's bedtime routine as it signals that it is time for sleep too.

Meeely2 · 05/10/2007 15:38

mumofmonsters grobags were invented by a heaven sent angel! Could not have survived without them

MerlinsBeard · 06/10/2007 17:03

ah you see now i get them! i have really and truley NEVER understood them! the only reason i could find was to stop them getting cold for night feeds but i didn't think of that until both mine has stopped night feeds!!
