Have just spent 30 bloody quid on new cartridges and now the printer won't work anyway, keeps saying it cannot communicate with the computer.

IO have tried unplugging it, changing usb sockets and shutting down comp and restarting but nothing is working.

HELP

Reinstalling the driver from the installation CD?
Trying a different USB cable?

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 03/10/2007 12:57

Start button
Control panel
printers and faxes
then
troubleshoot printing (on left hand side)

I tried the trouble shooting, but it didn't fix it.

I am gonna uninstall and reinstall the software I think, and then if that still doesn't work, my brothers gonna drop me over another usb cable.

I bloody hate computers etc, they never work when I really need them.

Ta for the help anyway.

nutcracker · 03/10/2007 17:29

You need to check that your computer knows that the printer is there...our PC thought that we have 3 idenitcal printers installed (doh) and so we have to let it know which one to use IYSWIM.

nutcracker · 03/10/2007 17:38

Oh right clarice, i think reinstalling the software might be a good idea then, can start from scratch that way i suppose.

it won't work

I have unistalled and reinstalled the software, but it just keeps saying that the printer is offline when it's not, and the power light on the printer flashes instead of staying on.

I can't believe I have spent £30 on cartridges and now I can't use the damn thing.
