Double buggy?

My toddler will have just turned 2 when my new baby arrives. Do you think I’ll need a double buggy?

We have a Cossato Wow travel system and as far as I can tell we can’t get a buggy board to fit on it.

We do have a sling and baby carrier that id like to use, but the toddler hated them when he was first born.

I very vividly remember how much going for walks around our village helped my mental health in the early weeks and I’m worried that if I can’t easily do that then I’ll struggle, but similarly the budget is tight!

On MN there does seem to be a popular opinion you can "just put the baby in a sling", but, like you, I never got on with baby wearing.

I think it makes life a LOT easier if you have the option, particularly if your little one will only just be turning two. I had 2yr 5 months between mine, and dc1 was walking most of the time before dc2 came along, but then he changed his mind for much of the time, or he wanted to run off. I borrowed a double off someone, thinking it would just be for a short time and once he realised being in the buggy wasn't so much fun, he'd go back to walking, but then ended up buying one, it was so useful.

I gave mine away on Freegle afterwards though. You may well be able to pick one up second hand without spending a fortune.

I have 3yo and a 4m old and found a double was really good. 3yo walks/rides/scoots most places but it has been great for naps on the go, getting out on rainy days, and just when 3yo has an absolute melt down. I also have wraps and front packs plus a single buggy but the double has been good.
We bought second hand so didn't spend a fortune and don't regret it for a second. It's a mountain buggy duet and is amazing- lie flat, sun and rain covers, fits a tall 3yo too. It's also pretty indestructible and still looks good.
