Hi, never used this site before but looks like lots of you might be able to help me. I want to get an Isofix car seat (9m-4y) and I have Isofix points in the car but not sure what car seats I can buy as there seems to be loads of brands but some are not compatible with my Ford Focus C-Max (54 reg - 2004).
Does anyone have a C-max and can recommend an Isofix seat please please please....
Thanks

both the britax and maxi cosi websites have fit-finders. You tell them what care you have and they tell you which seats will fit.

Thanks - went on to both their sites and the isofix seats are not compatible with my car. It looks like the only seat I can use is the Mothercare Mach Isofix car seat but I cannot find a review of this seat anywhere, 'Which' don't even have one. AAArrrgghhhhhh!!!!!!

Does it definitely say no . The Britax site only confirms those it has tested themselves so if it doesn't show they may simply not have tried that combination.

Oh dear, I went to Mothercare this morning and they said that I can't have the Britax one. The Maxi-Cosi website said a definite no-no and the only one she could recommend was the Mothercare one (with an additional teether) which is another £15 . Very frustrating cos we bought this car as its meant to be really child friendly blah blah...
I have sent an email to Ford asking them to advise me but don't expect a reply any time soon . What a nightmare. If I hear anything from Ford I'll post it as I can't be the only one with this problem .

Ohhh that's great. Just found this website too www.busseys.co.uk/Child_Safety_Seats.html looks like the Britax one might fit after all. I'm going to go to my local Ford dealer tomorrow and see what they say. THANKS VERY VERY MUCH

We have a c-max and we have an Britax isofix 9mth-4yr car seat. You need to get the teathers as well. We bought it from halfords and they fitted it for us as well. Our Ford dealers were clueless about where the teathers fit onto, but my husband worked it out in the end from the manual - they fit behind the seat, in the boot.

Brill. Finally got Ford to add the covers to the existing isofix points in the car and have ordered the britax duo plus isofix from kiddicare (on offer for £130!). Thanks for all your help girls.

I have found ford cars seem to fit most car seats easily. Better than our old rover which has slightly odd seats. Its worth going to somewhere like a big Halfords as they fit car seats and are usually a bit less chaotic than mothercare.
