E-readers compatible with Libby app

Hi, my daughter loves reading and I've recently discovered the Libby app where you can borrow ebooks and read on your tablet.

I want to buy her a cheap tablet like kindle but have no idea where to start!

Is there a cheap one that's compatible with Libby?

I can see this is quite an old post but in the hope it helps somebody I have a Kobo Clara HD which is a black and white ereader compatible with Libby and I find it really straightforward to use and I was happy to give up my Kindle. It about £110 so not that cheap but Kobo also have a cheaper model called a Nia.

I use The Libby app daily. Has your daughter got an Ipad? as there is a way to download the app onto an ipad.
