First Family car

Looking for a first family car - so good size boot, 5 door, automatic.

Not great on makes and models and not owned a car for a few years so any suggestions on a good family car would be appreciated!

We've just gone for a Ford Focus. My husband wasn't sold at first as they were "too common" but then he drove one and found it to be comfortable, smooth and had everything we needed and more.

Good prices available to buy outright and lots of cheap financing deals on both new and used. Plenty of them around too so you shouldn't have to travel too far to get a good one.

They're economical, with sportier looking models and designs if one/both of you still wants to feel a bit flash

Loads of optional extras available. Seemed like the best all rounder for us really.

Depends on your budget really....
