Hi, we're looking for a new car but not sure where to start with the huge lists of features. What options are worth it? We know we want parking sensors, what else should we consider?

@Elai1978 BMW. They're a cost option.

On the point of keyless ignition, some manufacturers have stopped producing cars with keyless ignition because it's a huge security risk.

I got a new car (VW) on 1st March and this is what I love about it:-

Front and rear parking sensors
Satnav
Automatic handbrake
Folding wing mirrors when car is locked
Bluetooth to phone to play Spotify

@DonaldJTrumpet I hope the company paid for the many months of counselling you must have needed.

BMW. They're a cost option.

Then It wasn’t top spec was it? Top spec would have most if not all cost options ticked.

DonaldJTrumpet · 06/07/2020 17:25

No one buys ALL the options and with BMW you don't get much for free.

Top spec is the top model to me. Fully spec'd would be all options. Cost or not.

You’d be surprised what people spec. Plenty of cars out there with nearly everything ticked.

I work in that industry. Most have metallic paint and nothing more.

Not something I would ever have thought of wanting, but now I have is incredibly useful, is a button on the door handle and boot that unlocks/locks the car. Great when you are wrangling a toddler and all their things as you don't have to have your keys in your hand or fumble around for them.
