You may want to be aware that Maxi Cosi are currently relaunching the Priori with additional side impact protection. This should mean that many retailers will be discounting the original model.

Kiddicare will match any prices elsewhere by the way.

Hi bea - any luck yet? Maybe John Lewis don't do car seats online - such purveyors of safety, they may well take the stance that they should give you proper guidance before you buy

I happened to read this thread the other day when we had just ordered a MCP from Mothercare. Four days later they sent the wrong one. When I phoned and the woman was an unapologetic git, I cancelled the order and John Lewis got me the right one delivered the next day. So thanks again Mumsnet (and Leese) for the info.

I got mine from John Lewis - I just phoned the store and asked for the baby department and they were excellent - really really helpful and even ordered me one in dalmation spot which no-one else could get me. I paid by CC and I think it was about £85 a year ago, I think delivery was free too !

They have a "never knowingly undersold" policy too - so if you've seen it cheaper they should sell it you at that price if you can prove it. I know someone who bought a travel system from them and then saw it on the web for £40 less and she printed the page out and sure enough John Lewis gave her the cash back !

Sorry Bea, haven't looked here again for a while. Also I can't remember how much it was. But good point from Scatterbrain about matching prices, wish I'd remembered that. Not such a Scatterbrain.
