Boden - are their clothes on the small / average / large side? Advice from experience Boden users please!

Hi,
I recently gave birth and am currently 2 sizes up from my normal size (sz 10/12).
I would like to buy a coat and from the measurements that Boden has provided, it seems I am a size 18/20!
I can't believe that as I am just about able to fit into a few of my existing and perhaps looser clothing. I think I should go for a size 14, as I don't intend to stay the same post-labour size so no point going for size 18.
Also, as its my first time buying from Boden, I'm not sure if their fitting tends to be smaller, average or larger (ie, if you're a size 12, would you just go for size 12, iykwim)?

I find it definitely smaller. I have a size 14 dress that just will not do up, EVERYTHING else from every other shop that I have in a size 14 fits me, so you can imagine the frustration

I'd always go for a size up from my actual size, for Boden.
