Hi, DD has inherited a Kindle, please talk me through how she goes about getting the books? Dummies guide please! Thanks.

At the top bar is the shop icon and she clicks that and puts in whatever shes looking g for. There are quite a number of free books.
Alternatively go to Amazon and search kindle and you register your device and order via the website (so you can do this via another device). It downloads onto your kindle pretty much immediately.

It needs to be linked to an Amazon account. Books can either be directly bought from the kindle or bought from the amazon app/website and sent directly to the kindle

Hi OP, she can either open her own account with Amazon or you can give her access to yours from the Kindle. Once you do this there will be a Store option on the Kindle to click into and browse books. If she is a member of a local library there is usually also an option to borrow ebooks that can be loaded to her Kindle and there is also an option of transferring books from a laptop or PC to her Kindle also. If you look on YouTube with the Kindle make she has there should be a step by step guide to this.
You don't say how old she is but if she is young and you are linking an account to the Kindle then I'd be disabling the Wi-Fi on the Kindle when she has it and helping her to choose and buy books in your presence.
Kindle Unlimited will give any account a 30 day free trial and there is a lot of "erotic literature" available there. That's without thinking about all the "diet yourself happy" stuff you might want her to swerve.

@ Pipandmum @dementedpixie @Sk1nnyB1tch ...Many thanks for all your help..got busy and forgot about my OP, don't like to post and not thank people who help.

Ha ha Sk1nny she is 18 yrs and getting books prior to commencing English Literature degree so I think the erotic literature train has well and truly at the platform and ready to board. Take your point about the diet books though..thank you.

@shadypines Your more than welcome. I think starting a degree she is probably past the point of Mummy vetting her reading alright Grin
There is a site called gutenberg.org where they have digitalised a lot of the classics to be able to download to the Kindle for free. If she can make notes on her Kindle that could save some money.

That's brilliant, thanks Sk1nny!
