we are thinking about installing a filter tap in new kitchen, as we drink non-stop filtered water from a jug, but the replacement filters look very expensive.
anybody got one? would you recommend it? where do you buy filters?

Hovely

We used to have one in our previous house - but where we live the water is so hard and full of chemicals (smells of chlorine) we had to use a brita water filter as well as the tap filter for drinking and the kettle. The filter on the tap needed replacing every six months and cost about £25 - the local shop we bought the system from sent us a reminder every six months

thanks Grizzly
possibly not worth the effort then if you need a Brita as well. Our water is the same as yours.
