Socci, we bought a lovely trike for ds a few months ago from Toys R Us. They had a girl and boy version. It was metal with proper padding, parent handle and adjustable everything. They were half price at the time though - £60 down to £30 and then we got the display model for £25 which was the last boy's once left! Might be worth a look anyway...

The Princess trike is to die for (ridiculous price though) and I like the Oko one too.

And not a trike but such a cute scooter how could anyone with a girl resist it? too!

Pedlars does (or did) one. It is wonderful and reminds me of my first bike. They are mail order and I am sure they are online too.

Would this do or is it too young?

How about the little giant trike it's made by the bike company giant ani is metal with a proper bike saddle and bell.It comes in pink, silver or blue and is bigger than most plastic 'toy' trikes so might be better for a 3 year old only down side is the price £65 but we got it for less online last xmas so could be worth alook.
