I'm currently breastfeeding to my little one whos 8 weeks old, really want to get my Botox done again, anyone had this done during breastfeeding?

I get Botox injections for medical reasons and am booked in to restart after my baby is born, my consultant doesn't think there is an issue with it being done whilst breastfeeding, just in pregnancy.

I asked my botox Dr last time I was breastfeeding and he said no... he said there is almost certainly no risk but then it had not been thoroughly tested so he was reluctant.

I'm now preg (and planning on BF again for a year or so) and missed my window between stopping BF the last and falling o preg with this one ... so following this with interestSmile

I saw an interview with an x-bonde-girl actress a few years ago. She hasn't touched her face and said no way - she said she'd earnt every single one of her lines, from life, all the times she's laughed, all the times she's cried. Why do we want to erase that? I mean no offence but faces that make no expression are truly scary! Your choices are yours and yours alone to make. But sometimes a shift in perception can really help. Maybe instead of seeing just lines, you could see them as reminders of every time you've smiled at the amazing little life you've just created ;-)

Maybe you can stick to that theory. Wasn't aski for your opinion.

You were asking if it's safe. If it's not. Hopefully what I said will help you get through the time until you're able to do it again. And, sometimes, just sometimes, we All need to be reminded that our natural selves are good enough just the way we are ;-) Take care hon.

Hello @gully83 did you get it in the end? Just wondering as I'm thinking of getting it too although dc is 18 months and has had enough of breast milk and just uses me like a bar to refresh himself rather than satisfying his hunger needs.

Hi, I have booked it for the morning, and I feel brave enough after doing so much research, there isn't any scientific facts about it, however they do not recommend. I've been exclusively pumping for days, so I have enough milk supply in my fridge to last my little girl for 2 days. So, what ever I express tomorrow and Sunday I will discard. What about you? Have you had yours done? I will post here once once had it done. I mean, there's loads of people drink and smoke and breastfeed, I'm sure that's a lot worse!

Hey, just to let you all know, I've went ahead and had my Botox done and feel so great about myself already. Also a little secret, the practitioner said as long as you don't tell them, it is perfectly safe, during breastfeeding and does not pass thru to milk, however if your worried, express the next 2 sessions and Chuck away. Hope this helps
