Know any mothers of 8 year old girls?
None of my DDs old stuff has wings so its not exactly fairy.

Nbg · 24/09/2007 20:06

Alas, no Asda here and don't know any 8 year old girls, lol.

Doesnt have to be a fairy, could be a princess or something like that.

Have you tried ebay? I have had some reasonable ones from there in the past.

Nbg · 24/09/2007 20:11

Think it will have to be ebay.

We have 2 childrens boutiques, a Mackays and Fat Face for kids stuff.
Not exactly a great choice.

Get red crepe paper and sew a quick seam along the edges pull it round, seal with double sided tape.

Get a green bit of card and cut out a tomato leaf big enough for a bit of plastic each side.

Pull seams tight and send them as a tomato.

Forgot armholes.

Its not for a party, well it might be but dd has been nagging and going on about one that she wears at pre-school.

Shes having a bouncy castle for her birthday so if she wears it, it will no doubt get ripped. Hence why I want cheapy cheap cheap.

M&S online have a flower fairy costume (a simple net skirt plus wings) for £3.50. I've just bought one. Look in the Younger Girls section, then the Dressing Up bit. It's on 3 for 2 so you might want to add a couple more items from toys and books. You do have to spend £30.00 for free delivery - no problem as there's free returns as well.

Do you have a Home Bargains? They have them for £2.99 (there's one in Ripon)

geordiemacminx · 25/09/2007 21:26

Could try posting on the wanted section? There are bound to be loads of MN'ers with them!!!

nightowl · 25/09/2007 21:28
