Hi,
we need a very lightweight travel cot for a trip we are doing, I thin kthis looks great - and you can also use it on the beach as a sun shelter - but I was hoping for a review or two before buying it cos it ain't cheap!

If that's the one that looks like an igloo and is enormous my sister found it a pita. Was so huge it didn't even fit in her spare room, a piece broke. I've yet to find a sunshelter that doesn't blow away in the wind. The Samsonite pop ups were good, I discovered them late.

thanks!
problem is DS uses the samsonite like a hampster wheel......

I have the littlelife arc 2 which I think is great - although not a sunshelter - very sturdy much better than samsonite ds also used like a hampster wheel.

We have the arc3. Used it for 2 weeks on holiday. Dd2 slept fine in it, BUT as MilaMae said it is a bit of a pita! It is big and we found putting it up & taking it down a bit of a nightmare - not good for the beach when the 4 kids are moaning to go home and we're still struggling to pack it away. Also, can't fit a sheet to the bottom of it - slid all over the place.

However dds1 & 2 love playing in it! It is lightweight and packs up much smaller than our huge travel cot.

Annwoo - can you fit a sheet around the arc 2 mattress? Is it roomy?

annwoo · 01/10/2007 14:10

Yes, you can fit a sheet around mattress (mattress is v. thin though). We stuck a cot mattress in the tent - so ds was more comfy. In my opinion tent is roomy ds is 22 months and still has loads of room, can sit up but obviously not stand up unless top panel is unzipped.

Thanks for replying

Would a normal 120x60cm mattress fit?

annwoo · 01/10/2007 21:24

I think we used a normal cot sized mattress - will check for you. It wasn't an exact fit, was fine lengthways but a bit of room widthways so we rolled up a blanket and put this in the gap.
